Skunk Streak

Featured Replies

I haven't been catching nothing. I go almost everyday. Dang weather making the fish not want to bite probably. What's the longest time you've gone without catching a fish? I reckon they are bound to bite as long as I keep going. One day my luck will change. Could be tomorrow, but then tomorrow could also be another skunk day. It's the anticipation thinking your going to catch something. After the 100th(estimate) cast no bite, I usually start losing hope. Sometimes when they aren't biting I'll leave early. I hate staying around just casting for exercise. I never really caught a fish that way, when they aren't biting they aren't biting period. Staying longer I believe is futile. I figure it's possible, maybe conditions could change the longer your out there.

You're not alone. I can go out for days and not catch a bass in the summertime here, and can go for 2-3 weeks in the wintertime inshore at the ocean and get nothing. That being said, I have caught some amazing fish where all conditions were against me, you just never know, so keep at it.

Ive been trying for 2 months now. Ive been fishing around 6 times now. not a single fish yet. As far as I know ive gotten a bite once or twice. I wish I could catch a fish cause Im starting to get a little frustrated. To the point that Im gonna go into a different reservoir this next week. wednesday and thrusday if I can. hopefully my luck changes. Fishing from shore makes it even harder for me.

I have fished all day with out a bit. Then with a hour of day light left I tore them up and sometime I tare them up in the morning and nothing the rest of day. Sometime when I go through a bad streak I go fishing in this small creek behind my grandma's house. Were your not going to catch anything over a pound but you catch a lot of fish as a little confidence booster I use light gear so I can feel a little fight. It's supper fun and gives you some confidence give it a try " Never give up"
