Did You Ever?

Koopers Frog Brand new 2nd cast on a low tree branch. Makes me sick thinking about it. I'm sure somebody just went out there and grabbed it.

Yep. I had a $30 topwater muskie lure I was throwing on Mill Lacs lake. Within my first few casts I had a muskie on, but she broke off the back treble hook and swim free. I had to drive 30 minutes to a local bait shop to get replacement hooks. The first throw when I got back on the water, the bait snapped and went flying a half mile back into the reeds....not my favorite fishing memory.

You should be thankful that you don't have the number of muskies and pike that we do. The worst feeling is when you are throwing an LC D20 and the line just goes slack...

I usually fish booyah or stike king spinnerbaits, but I had a BPS gift card so I bought some war eagles, first day using them had a huge pickerel bend the wire out at a 90 degree angle right above the head, wasn't too happy.

Last year I was throwing a new BPS swimbait and backlashed and snapped the line... I tied a treble hook on to drag the bottom to try and get it up, as I got over to where it went in the water, there was about 6 inches of braid left floating on the top of the water :respect-059:
