howdy to all my memphis and midsouth anglers!

does anyone have any good catifishing spots around here ...(do not suggest catch'em lake at shelby farms!)

im a bank only angler because i have no boat..any tips on any spots and baits would be awesome

If you can make it to NC Kerr Reservoir brooke the world record for blue cat last year.

I caught a catfsh yesterday on a jig......but that doesn't help you. I have no clue about catfishing around here! Sorry man!

Honestly a little slow. This whole year has been dink city. Nothing to brag about that is for sure. I am approaching 100 bass for the year, and nothing over 5(not including minnows on the river). A little baffling. How about you?

man soooooo slow... i caught my 5#er in feb....i dont have a boat or access to any private ponds so im stuck fishin the local pub spots...ive been frustrated with the grove and the civic center...so ive been fishin dogwood creek apt on houston levee just because it is consistant..that is actually where i caught my 5 pounder...

I actually broke 5lbs this morning. but still only 4 bass in 5.5 hrs of fishing....

where did you fish today? i went out for a bit after church this afternoon...man it was HOT! and SLOW.but we decided to go to the daycare pond in collierville..ya i couldnt believe i ended up there either...but we actually caught a couple of 2 to 3 pounders in about a hour...

I went over to my club in Arkansas. What did you catch em on? Mine was a jig, check the Fishing Reports section!

Catfish can be caught anywhere along the Wolf River if you can get down the bank to the river. The undergrowth is getting pretty thick. I've caught nice 3 - 5 pounders under the bridges.

Might wanna take a look at the map, it's Kerr lake that spans both Va. and NC. there is a reason it's called Buggs.

I know the area quite well. In fact I live on the lake during the week. The fish was caught near Clarksville, VA....thus my "VA side" comment.

And its called Buggs after the island just the other side of the dam.

I've also caught bass by throwing small white spinners upstream of the stumps and logs.
