Water Reader?

Featured Replies

i was fishing in a tournament a few years back and the guy that owned the boat had this sensor thing that looked almost like a PDA device with about a 6 or 7ft wire attached to it and on the end of the wire was a lottle sensor. you would then dip the sensor in the water and it would tell you what color plastic to use according to the water clearity etc.anyone heard of them? i forgot what its called and i was thinking about investing in one if its even worth it.

thanks

Snake oil. Color-C-Lector, you can still get them at Bass Pro and other stores.

Never heard of it but Sounds Gimmicky to me. You can determine that yourself with a little knowledge gained by reading articles on water clarity.
