How long do bass stick around the ramp after being released after a tourney? I have a tourney on the 20th. There is a different clubs tourney on the 19th. I would lose 2-3 hours in fishing time making the run roundtrip. Working on putting together a game plan and wondering if it would be worth the run.

I'd say that the first thing to consider is what the release site is like. If it has good cover and food, a lot of those fish might be there a week or more later. THis was the case at last year's Kentucky Lake roadtrip. The marina at Moor's had a tournament weigh in on the Saturday we got there and they were still catching bass out of it on the Friday we left. Second thing to consider is how many fish are getting released at this site. Finally, it would really depend on if you had any fish patterned away from this place, which saves you a couple of hours during your tournament day.

In my experience, I've never cared for fishing a release site the very next day. Any Wednesday night tournaments nearby?

Yes, you can do well within a mile of the release site especially as stated above regarding structure.

The physical site itself will play a big role with the bass staying in the area. Food, structure, water clarity, water temperature, boat traffic and people swimming will have a positive or negative affect on the specific area.

Many of my club tournaments have been won by fishing for retreads.
