Only 2 bass! They were also tiny! I've been searching for new waters all week and found a new small pond (200 yards or so), I see tons of TINY lmb around the shore. Should I try it again or move on? Not sure if any big boys are in there. I used all sorts of spinners, flukes, and top water poppers. Saw no fish jump.

What were the water and weather conditions? How big is the pond?

If you can view the pond in the UV protective sunglasses, you still may be able to see if there were bass beds,if so there are probably some mothers in there....the dads might be deserted....

Water was pretty clear, about 72 and sun/cloud mixed, barely any wind. 2nd time there the first time no luck at all.

the tiny bass you saw didn't just materialize in there unless they were just now stocked, which is probably unlikely. more likely is that there are at least some bass in there big enough to spawn. your best answers probably will come from the landowner. ask him/her when the pond was stocked, with what, and how long ago. other info will also be useful such as how many other people fish the pond and do they keep fish.

Pond is about 250x200 in yards

I'd go back and try again. Some days at my resevour I get no bites at all and other days they hit like crazy.

If you have a little boat like a jon boat or something that'll help too.

i find that noise/blades/vibration tend to spook fish in small ponds. try swimming plastics like a large crawl or 10" worm on a 4/0 weightless hook. let it fall for few seconds and then swim it just slow enough to keep it off bottom. pitch a jig in any muck/grass/pads etc. run ur spinnerbait 8' off/parallel shore. that will draw fish from shallow or deep. use a stanley ribbit frog--they have just the right amount of action and gurgle noise for small pond fish. going into summer and fall you can usually get away with more vibrations ie chatterbaits, buzzbaits, spooks etc. Are you working the whole shore line? no matter how good you are, you should be spooking someone.
