I usually wax my truck twice a year, but never found a product for the between waxings. I just tried this for the second time and think it's a really good product. Anyone have ant opinions?

I am a big fan of meguires/3m. But I see no need to use this stuff. unless you are going to be in a car show I think its a waste. Just wash your car. If you have a good wax it will look just as good. And you should not have to re wax.

Most waxes will last any were from a month to 6 weeks or so. So you should be able to wash your car a few times. Also it don't matter how munch you pay for wax. It will still only last so long. I see Your from the east cost. I suggest getting a bottle of nu-finish or how ever you spell it. It really dose last all year. No wax I have ever used had water bubble up in middle of winter. That was with putting wax on in the middle of April early may. I have put wax on from other meguires in November and it don't even beed up in December.

Im a huge fan of Mothers car care products I have tried the Meguiars and a slew of others but always found my self going back to Mothers. I usually started off early in the season with the clay bar and then hand waxed it at the end of every month and spray detailed and washed it threw out the week with going to car shows almost every day during the summer months. Nothing looks better then a all black car freshly waxed black will make any car/truck/bike/boat look bad arse and sexy.

Thanks clayton for reminding me. I have to find some time to do that to my car. Right now it looks like it did the baja 1000. Just debating if i want to buff it.

Also is there a reason why you chose mothers over other brands. I used 3m stuff when I detailed cars for a living. I found out how good there stuff is. So I never pulled the trigger for the 3 dolllers more mothers.

Idk just seemed to shine better longer and not haze like some other waxes did. I haven't waxed or detailed a car in years my wife asked me to do her old 3000gt but I always put it off and never did then we sold it it didn't hold car seats very well lol.

I stopped waxing/polishing my vehicles. They look great. I just wash/vacuum them every 2 weeks.

Buffing with a machine, I wouldn't do it. Hand application is best IMHO.

hand buff always I used a machine once and almost cried I was doing my '89 Camaro not paying attention to the cord to the buffer it left little half moon scratches across my rear quarter panel for about 6inches I freaked out called up my dad he brought some scratch x stuff over and I got it out the best I could I could still see it but no one else noticed but I noticed I was so paranoid over it every show I went to I set my up to kinda block that side lol. I was so proud of that car it looked like a million bucks and only cost me 600 for the car and 1200 for parts on the engine I built in college the paint and all other mods to the chassis and suspension I fabricated and made my self to support the 383 I dropped in her and the paint I got for free because I had a hook up at the parts store that gave me all there paint they mixed wrong.

To jig if you like it I am not going yo stop you from useing. I just stated why I thought of it.

Guys I do apply wax by hand. Last time i buffed may car I wet sanded with 2000 grit sand paper. It might need a quick buff again. I also do not use the 20 doller wal mart one. I have a 200 doller 12in milwaukee grinder. I think it weights close to 10lbs. at the shop I use to work for. Some guy picked it up. He was like how do you sling this thing around all day.
