Landing The Big One.......

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum but have been reading for the past few months. I have been fishing for years but only seriously for the past year. We have a local lake/pond that has great fish both in size and numbers. I have caught numerous 4-5 pounders and most others are 2-3. I have seen many fish that I know are 7+ and have had one shake off. I have dialed in the bite and had very good success with shaky heads but can't seem to consistently get the big bite.

Water is very clear and fish are starting to school and swim in groups, especially early in the morning. Most luck is on zoom magnum shaky heads in watermelon varieties and geek pumpkin.

Any suggestions to entice the larger bite, especially when site fishing while the fish are moving?

Sorry for being so long winded.

Thanks!!

Big jerk bait!

Thanks! Any you suggest?

Jig and craw will produce some big fish. The fall is my favorite time to catch a pig but it could happen anytime.
