Couldn't find this in the FAQ. Looking to get a baitcaster and am curious of the weight. Trying to get the perfect one. Unsure if it would be medium or medium heavy!

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you nean what size rod and reel to use with Senko's?

I use a 7.5 foot M/H rod with #10 Yozuri line.

That and the actual weight of it to match up with the back of the rod

On my little scale, a 5" Senko and 3/0 ewg hook weighs right at 3/8 oz.

I would use a 3/0 EWG hook, 12 - 14 pound mono or fluorocarbon, and a 7' MH casting rod with senkos of that size.

I use a 6'6" mh/f spinning rig and 8 lbs yo zuri.

I prefer my 7' M-XF for Senkos/knock-offs in the 5"-6" range. It really depends a lot on the rod manufacturer and how the rod is rated. My M-XF BPS Pro Qualifier rod is rated for 1/4-5/8 oz lures and 8-17lb line. Bassn Blvd's G Loomis MH-XF is rated for 3/16-5/8 oz lures and 12-16 lb line. While his NRX is superior in every way (except price), the ratings are very nearly identical and both rods well suited to this type of use.

You're over thinking this one. You should be able to throw a weightless senko on basically any decent casting rod with some practice.

Either one of the two you mentioned will cast it without a problem. I've thrown them on ultra lights, all the way up to my heavy flipping sticks. Base the rod off of the area you're going to be fishing in.

Dead on correst. Over the years, I have learned to somewhat ignore the ratings and go with what feels good.
