I have been fishing in a shallower creek in North east Arkansas. This creek is colder than most this time of year. I found a good hole full of smallmouth and a few larges. the two biggest fish in the place are holed up under a tree that is growing out into the water. They travel back into the root of the tree alot. the water here is maybe four feet. What should I do to catch these bass?

I fish alot of spots like what you described actually its pretty much all I fish. Weightless flukes fluttering down infront of the hole is usually key or a tube. skip a jig under there if there's room and if you can. When all else fails there's grubs fat alberts are my favorite till I get my hands on the rage tail ones.

Stealth is incredibly important.

What I do is Texas rig a fluke, and twitch near the timber. It helps me alot to get those wise bass.
