Double Or Single?

Featured Replies

Which buzzbait do you use more often - double buzzer or single or blade-in-blade?

I use a double blade, usually black in color.

I like a single, three blade prop. I can fish it extremely slow due to the extra lift from the three blade prop. I also like to throw black.

Whatever the Cavitron has LOL. I have never looked because i have never thrown another buzzbait. Cavitron has and always will be my only buzzbait.

to me i think the double buzz id gimicky, i have never caught anything on em, i like the buzzes with a clacker and the booyah ones with an extra blade thing behind it, but never 2 whole blades... and black/red, purple and the white and chart.. are always in my box

I use both. If I'm fishing bluff walls I use a single blade because the bait will veer to the right on the retrieve due to it being a single blade.

I usually use a double prop (twin arm) when fishing a buzzbait any other time. I like the sound i can produce from it by tuning the two props to clash against each other.

A single arm with one larger blade with a smaller prop in the middle counter rotating will also allow your buzzbait to track true.

There is nothing wrong with a buzzbait the veers off to one side, you can actually use it to your advantage. I just like the consistency of knowing where I can put the bait and where it will run on the retrieve.
