The jointed shad rap is a flat out fish catcher and seems to work very well in colder conditions.(if you can say that in Florida )

Try using a slow steady retrieve then mix it up with pauses or use it as a jerkbait since this bait suspends. Not my first choice around cover since it doesn't float up. Need to get deeper? Try the number 7 as well. I really love the shad color and parrot but if firetiger works in your waters then go for it.Overall I don't think you will be disappointed though,it is a winner for sure.

Hes from Iowa, so I would say that he would have a pretty good opportunity to try it out in colder water.

This bait was outstanding for me last season. I got started with it a little late in the spring so I am looking forward to seeing how I will do in the early part of the season.

Have one of the suspenders in shad, but have yet to get hit on it.

I got one of these in baby bass colors havent tried throwin em yet

I have good results with the shad colored ones.  :)

I caught my first fish ever in a tournament on one (2.7lb on a #5 Shad colored one).

I like them, just picked up another one the other day, now if they could make a suspending one that did not rattle so much it would be money.

There's no such thing as a bad Rapala lure.

I have good results with the shad colored ones. :)

My misfortune with it probably has to do with only throwing it a few times.

Caught a few Walleyes and Pike on them, not really good on bass in my experience.  But each lake is different.

My top lure in my box last year.  Caught all my biggest fish on a FireDad.  2.7 lbs Smallie (about the biggest there is in the that reservoir), 2 lbs rainbow trout, and a 4 lbs Pike.
