Fished Hobbs pond today landed a 5+lbs large today along with a 4 and two 3+pounders. I'm still suprised how well a 2lb pickerel fights. It was a good day.

Congrat on the nice fish... While I understand the reason bass-targeting anglers dislike pickerel, I can't help having fun then they're on the other end of the line.

I've done a lot of fishing in pickerel waters, and though I much prefer to catch bass, I've always thought that pickerel fight better than largemouth.

Congrats on the pb. Im heading to a small lake this weekend that is absolutley filled with pickeral. Should be fun.
