Bedding Fish

Recommended Posts

I have been catching a few fish with bloody tails which ive always thought means they are on there beds. I guess what im confused about is that ive caught them on topwater frogs and i thought they wouldnt hit topwater baits while on there beds. Is there another reason why there tail would be bloody like that, or i am wrong about biting topwater baits while on there beds.

thanks

Sounds like they are on beds and yes they will tear up a frog at times.

They're tail remains bloddy for sometime after bedding and the fish often remain shallow when feeding up immediately thereafter... There are many prey or bait in the shallows during the bass spawn and it's normal for this to happen so FROG'EM HARD ;)
