Livewell And Aerator Not Working

Featured Replies

hauled my boat up north, dropped it in the water fished for awhile went to use livewell and it wouldnt work. fuse was blown. reset fuse poped after a few min. Filled the livewell up with a container and couldnt get it to aerate either. It's a 2008 sratos 176. Any ideas besides the basic connection stuff. im about to replace the livewell filler pump and realized theres a seperate aeration pump.

Ok so I replaced the fill pump! I actually had to replace the whole unit not just the motor like I was hoping. So now the livewell pump is working but not the aerator. So was it just dumb luck that they both went out at the same time?...Weird!

My guess is that it was just bad luck. Both pumps were lkely made by the same company with nearly identical hours of operation.at about the same time.

Electricity is funny. What ever shorted out one may have shorted out both.
