Anyone ever bass fish the ohio river ?

for carp/catfish in PA. there are bass in there but your putting out a ton of work for catching one or 2 14 inchers which is basically a trophy out of such a polluted river. maybe its better down in KY

Fish it often, going tommorrow morning. Have caught some smallies the past month. Where I am fishing it is a first light type of topwater bite. We are done about 830. Fishing shallow water by wading, no boat.

There are some good fish in the river, they are tough to catch no doubt. A good place to start is below the damns. There are plenty of shallow flats in the river. There are spots where you can wade 50-100 yds into the river.

I fish in the river quite often. Definitely a carp/catfish river but i've caught decent walleye and bass as well. This is also near pittsburgh

I fish it some the rocky point area.
