  1. We went out for 3 hours yesterday got 11 fish (and 1 drum). About 6 of the fish came on a storm swim bait the rest came on a range crawl or a kvd 2.5. I was surprised we got most of the fish shallow still I had wondered with the weather if they would have been pushed deeper but they were still active and shallow.
  2. Most of these are on a 100 acre private lake...we also started fishing the Barbee chain this year and it is good for a public lake...we have got some 3.5 pound fish on the Barbee chain and saw a 5.5 this year...doesn't have the top end size 7-10 pounds the private lake does but seems to have a good amount of 3-5 pounders...
  3. We went out for about 2 hours on Friday we got 4 fish and one nice one but they were not as active as a few days earlier.
  4. we went out for 3 hours today and started where the bass are in the fall and didn't get a bite so moved to the other end of the lake and got a few smaller ones 14 inches ...fished back to where we thought they would be and still nothing so we went over to the smaller lake and fished a beaver dam and my brother changed to a red eye shad and got a 7.9....other then that it was slow but it ended up good.....
  5. A friend went out on my lake last weekend and found some fish biggest was 4.5 and he got some footage on the gopro.
  6. At Barbee we got a few nothing big did have a big one hit a crank at the boat. When out at home this morning we got 11 and 10 of the fish were 2 to 4 pounds....All came on KVD 2.5 cranks, and we saw a few monsters in the 8-10 pound class my brother had one hooked for a few seconds.
  7. A friend fished at my house today they did well biggest was 3 they saw a 6-6.5 at the boat when it tries to take a crank from a smaller bass...we are going to fish Barbee some tomorrow Bass and fish with Teeth...
  8. No other end near my house where the river flows in they hold up there and feed on the shad as they enter the lake ...The island can also produce down big fish now but the other spot produces numbers...I will text you and we can try again in a week or so once it really heats up
  9. We started fishing the south end and got a couple bass 1 on a crank and 1 on a worm but it was slow..we went around to a spot that is hot in the fall it's where a channel flows into the lake and started throwing cranks and they were packed in....ended up hooking the big one 5.5 on a rapala crank..,got 9 for the evening ...
  10. It's nice seeing people start to put bass in the boat we are going out tonight for the first time since it cooled down have high hopes of putting a 5-8 pounder in the boat...
  11. We went out today and it was tough we got 3 bass biggest was 2.5. We found some fish but most were just small tail grabbers ...2 fish on soft plastic and 1 on crank...was tough
  12. Its been slow around here we got a couple of 3 pounders on Barbee while musky fishing last weekend. We went out for about a hour last night and got 4 nothing big...a friend got a 4 pounder here last week while crappie fishing...
  13. My day today wasn't as good I fished 5 hours and got 2 bass 1 small and 1 3 pounder...one of those days where you felt like they should be on but they were not...you talk about a net I was out with my brother and the net was at the house (which is up 50 steps) and Kevin said oh do we need the net I said no...I end up hooking a monster 8 pounds plus and my brother was pulling him out and he shook his head and he dropped him and my 20 pound braid broker...last time we went with no net
  14. We went out today wanted to run the motor we just got back we got 9 about 1/2 on kvd 2.5 and 1/2 on a range crawl...all the fish were shallow most off rocks...it was raining and cold but we did ok a lot of fish 3-5 pounds
  15. Just went out for 2 hours and 45 min we got 4 2 fish about 2 pounds 1 smaller and 1 4 pounds we were wanting some bigger fish but not a great time of day now..fish were off rocks in shallow water on cranks
