I've never really fished with lizards much, but I have a couple bags of Zoom 6 inch lizards I'd like to try. I always heard they are good spring time baits, but does anyone have good luck with them year around?

X2 i use them all summer as well. one of my pb's is off a zoom 6" tomato lizard.

I use to use them a lot! I have gotten away from it in the last year or so... Not sure why as it always produced fish for me. I always Texas rig them with a 1/16 led bullet weight and an offset shank hook.... On the west branch of the susquehanna the small 4" zoom or cabin creek lizards are deadly

I use them right as the bass are spawning and after that I use them hear and there. I know that real lizards eat the fish eggs so bass get highly aggressive when you fish them right. During the summer, I will fish them when I come across the bag when I'm searching for a soft plastic. I don't know why I don't fish them more often. Maybe because I never caught a huge bass with them.

Fishing my double secret pond with a lizard on a Carolina rig and the big lady followed the lizard all the way to the shore and as I was getting ready to lift the lizard out of the water she hit it.

Scared me with the big splash and pop.

But I caught her.

So throw those lizards!

I flip a 6" lizard in pads and cane (I switch to smaller craws when punching)

I fish an 8" lizard like I do a worm. Depending on the profile I want I'll alternate between worm/lizard

I've caught some good ones off a lizard

All year long. Favorite bait.
