I Just Purchased The Lowrance® Lgc-4000 Gps+Waas

How hard is the Installation for this? I'm very excited about having this, I think it's going to help me with offshore structure fishing this year.

Thanks in advance

What are you going to hook it up to? I have one on my hds units. It does refresh faster then the others.

The 4000 antenna is a NMEA 2000 network device. If you already have a NMEA network installed, then the 4000 just connects to your existing network via the provided tee. If not, you need to purchase a NMEA Starter Kit:

Thank you for your reply Todd, I was hoping I'd get you for some Technical advice. So, cool, I do have the NMEA Network installed so it should be just plug and play then. After it's installed is there anything else, does the unit automatically use that antennae or will I need to select it?

Yes, the unit should automatically recognize the 4000 and select it as the active antenna. But, after the install go to Menu, Menu, Network, Data Sources, GPS and make sure that the 4000 is selected as the active antenna.

Todd's reply is what this forum is all about.

Even though I don't have a dog in this fight, thanks Todd.

Your advice is outstanding and helpful to us all.
