Question To Big- O And Everyone Esle

Featured Replies

Do you get a lot of people saying that it takes them a while to put a Strike king Super Finesse worm on a shakey head jig head? The one with the cork screws on them? Or am I just a bonehead? It just seems like it takes me forever to get them on. But it is a great example of the

duribility of them. Do you have a tip or a trick? I always have one rigged up but this afternoon the bass loved them and I had to replace it.

One last thing. Tonight was the first time that I used Rage Tail Space Monkey. I love them. I pitched on by a lay down. Well I kind of came up a little short and pretty muched smacked this 4 lb bass in the face with one of the tails. Well, he didn't like that, so he destroyed it. I would had takin' a picture but it took a little bit because the hook was deep in his belly. You guys have an outstanding product and it might be my go to bait now.

I start screwing them on upside down, when they get to the end of the spring they are upside right in the correct way. I've never had any trouble with it.

For say a worm or a rage tail craw or something, I put it under the hook (in the middle of the hook and shaft) then twist it on starting from the bait being the opposite direction of how you want it to actually be when it's all the way on.

I'm not sure if the upside down trick works for all shaky heads, but it does for the Zenith Shakey Heads by SiebertOutdoors

If its ones made out of the elaztec material the are notoriously hard to put on the screw type holders, its not you just the nature of the material.

For putting elaztech or 3X material worms on a shakey head with a screw lock, use a lighter and heat up the screw. Will go right on, and it won't come off for a good long while.

Never even would have thought about that.

Yep that's the answer! And glad the Monkey helped you to get it done... It's the most versatile soft plastic I've EVER fished ;)
