Tips For Loops On Spinnerbait Wire

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how, or can post a video on, how to create a closed loop on spinnerbait wire? A loop as in where you would attach the swivel for the blade at the end of the arm. Thanks!

How about tips on wrapped loops, also!

To make the loop I use a round nose pliers, I find it is quicker to do that instead of with the bender. I don't use a wrapped loop as I can make a tight enough loop that it remains against the shaft keep the spinner blade and swivel in the loop. What I do is make the loop and actually bring the tag end past the blade arm and then bring it back, this creates a spring effect and eliminates the need for any wraps.

agree with smalljaw the best way is to use rounded nose pliers. I recently opened one of my spinnerbaits and it was all warped up. I got it fixed with the pliers really fast and easily.
