Binocular Opinions

Featured Replies

Guys, I'm heading to Yellowstone for a week long camping trip and am considering getting some new binoculars before the trip. I'll also use them to hunt. I can't afford to invest much (around $100) so I'd like some advice.

I've been looking at the Bushnell XLT Trophy in a 10x28 http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B003E8RGU2/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

For only $70 this looks like a steal, but I'm wondering if I should instead look for a 10x42. Can you guys tell me if there is an appreciable difference between the two? Or do you have other recommendations?

Thanks,

Jason

I have a pair of Bushnell 16x42's I love them I got them as a gift from my father in law last year I think they were on sale for like 50 or 60 bucks. There no nikon or leupolds but they are crystal clear and don't strain my eyes. I use em mostly for just shooting kinda like a spotting scope and also when im ground hog hunting and predator hunting fields. 16 power is way to much for in the woods but i mostly hunt for ground hogs and fox/coyotes in the woods and they work great.
