Mead stripers are a pest to bass anglers.

Watch for birds diving onto the water surface to indicate where a striper school is pushing up shad then you have several lure choices to cast past the bait school and retrieve back through it.

The stripers in the lake, not below the dam, are school size running about 5,lbs or small stripers mostly.

Any shad imitating lure will work; Kastmaster spoons, pearl white Crippled Herring spoon, hard jerk baits like LC Pointers.

School stripers are fast moving, so be prepared to run and gun.

You can also troll lures behind the boat like 5 1/2" CD Magnum Rapalas in shad colors.
