I stripped the paint off of a few old crankbaits and have them down to clear plastic.  Thinking of just painting some eyes on them and give them a go.  Anybody ever try this and have any luck?

I have a clear plastic "spook-like" lure that I have gotten a few reaction bites on - if that helps at all.  I suppose those lures might lend some interesting input into the importance of color when choosing a lure.  Let us know how that works out for you.

Yes they will work , probably best used in gin clear water.
