Help! 24V Solenoid Wiring To Transom Trolling Motor

Featured Replies

i bought a solenoid to wire up and control my transom trolling motor from the front of the boat via toggle switch, im not sure how to wire it at all. tried a few things but no luck. this is what it looks like:

continuous duty 24 v rated for 85 amps.

i have a minn kota traxxis 70 lb thrust

and i have the 24v battery setup, but where do i go from there?

please help trying to hit the water tomorrow.

thanks

looks like the top 2 small ones are the coil (control), one side hot from switch other to ground. the 2 big ones on each side are the contacts. 24 v from the trolling motor power. battery to one side, other to trolling motor. i am not 100 percent sure but it is a good guess based on the size of the bolts. if u have a meter u can check continuity by putting the meter on the 2 big bolts and u should have nothing. when u put the 24 v controlpower to the small one u will get a tone. hope this helps.

did you get it working
