Good Action In The Alley

Hi folks, I have not shared much in a little while however this may be useful for some of you. My brother-in-law and I went fishing on the alley yesterday and focused our attention to the miami canal. Yes, reports are great at MM41, however, I have found that if MM41 is producing so are other areas along the alley. We had a blast, that area has not produced for us this year so far until yesterday. We boated 32 bass, majority of fish were 2 - 3.5lbs and had countless misses. The best part is that it was all top water. Frogs mostly, 2- 3.5lbs fish may not sound like weight for some of you, but on a frog bite it is awesome. Boat traffic was non existent. After 10 am we were the only ones in that entire stretch of canal for almost the entire day. The one key point I will share is that the fish were relating to cover. Looks like I have been writing too much, guess that's what happens when you haven't posted in a while LOL. Hope this info helps some of you.

Great report. Ain't nothing better than a frog bite! I have been slamming em on the Zara Spook too.

what show is shane on? what time and what channel?

nvm just saw the thread

Thats great news that theres some fish being caught.... I spent 4 hrs in the center & miami canal from holiday and only managed a few bites on friday.... thanks for the report...

I have still not fished the Miami Canal.....never! Gotta get out there ASAP.

The Miami Canal has been good to me in the past when the water has a north to south slight current. When it is ripping, not so good for me. I prefer the north side.

It has some decent cover, minimal hydrilla, and wind break. My PB there is 6lbs.

You should definitely check it out Shane.
