Ill chime in Geo. I fished Holiday L67 Sunday and caught a solid number of fish with the biggest going about 3lbs on hb frog and flukes. Fished South of number 2 up to #4. The action was steady but not great.

thx geo, i been meaning to get up to lox. Ive been staying in the glades where its been hit or miss the past few trips. I did catch one pushing 6lbs at holiday flipping a jig last week though.

I was there Friday morning. Couldnt get sniff on anything but a slow moving fluke. I ended up catching a few decent fish but the action was fairly slow.

they seem to be hell bent on screwing the water levels up all over sofla.

For what it's worth I fished the Miami canal north from the alley and pretty much had the same experience. slow twitchin the fluke out of the pads.

Huge bags caught on the north end. I don't know where as I'm a southside guy.

well the wind helped me out on Friday. I was out in the holey lands and after getting out in the canal, my lower unit went out. the wind pushed me back without even having to hardly use the trolling motor.

I fished mm34 today for a few hours in the morning. I caught a ton of small fish and missed one decent one. Caught most of them on fluke and pitching a blk/blue jig. fun times and the weather was awesome

I fished #1 out of Holiday park yesterday. though the day was beautiful, the fishing was slow. saw a ton of fish and moved a bunch, just couldn't get any decent bites. ended up with a few dinks on the trip.

I'm hitting the flats tomorrow out of Holiday will advise how it goes.

the lake is up over 13ft.. I'm heading up there until the water drops which may or may not happen at this point until the spring. They'll be getting set to hold the water by the end of September.

Man, the water level has sucked this summer.

I still find it hard to believe this wasn't intentional. when you're in the canals out there in a boat you are literally below the levees. a stray bullet would by all intents sail over your head. Unless it was just horrific luck that the bullet was on a downward trajectory. either way I hope they find the person.

I'm staying away from the lake until its up another foot..... I Just fixed my lower unit.

thinking of going Monday to holiday to assess the damage.....

try a jig, preferably in blk/blue.

There's a ramp to the canal running North by the camping area. Take a left when you come in its about a quarter mile off that main road. Haven't been there in a while so couldn't tell you how fishing's been.

I'm taking a 5 gallon bucket with me every time I go out to Holiday this summer. Ill fill that bad boy up and give it to someone on shore to eat or for catfood or something....

I fished Holiday park sunday and man the cychilds or whatever they are called are worse than I have ever seen them. Had to wade through a ton of them to get to the 25-30 bass I caught. They are definitely competing with bass in the food chain. Could be an issue for bass fishing out there in the future. Theyre super aggressive and will try to eat anything close to shore. On top of that my motor broke down making the afternoon even better.

With decent fishing returning to the glades, we should do a BR meetup somewhere...Its been a long while.
