Jeff, I use AZEK PVC board for my lures. AZEK PVC is an expanded PVC foam used for composite decking, and it's not anything like the PVC used for pipes!

Ahh, got ya! SO I assume they float and not suspend? This is an interesting concept. How well do they fish? They look great!

These baits are floaters. PVC foam board is a bit less buoyant than cedar, so buoyancy is not a problem.

PVC fishes no differently than a wooden or plastic crank bait - a good PVC lure will catch a lot of fish, and bad ones won't. All three materials give different actions to a given lure style, but none of those materials are better or worse than the others.

Well said Ben. A PVC bait can be built to suspend, just like any balsa or basswood bait. I've made a few and regretted it because if you get them hung up on the bottom or a tree branch and you are without your lure retriever, your bait is history. Suspending baits do just that suspend, and don't return to the top.

All those baits look great Ben, really like the littel wake bait. Personally I don't like suspending cranks and what a pain

in the butt it is to build one. It's much easier to add suspend dots to finished crank.

Great looking cranks Ben!

Nice.
