Hey everyone! Im buying a Dobyns Savvy Micro but now i need to choose a length 7" or 7'3" what length would you recommend?

7'3" just because. I dont think 3 less inches would make much of a difference even in slightl tigh quarters you can bring your arm in a little bit but you cant make it any longer than it is. 3" is negligible

I use 8' & 7'6" rods in amoungst trees & brush shore fishing the extra length comes in handy for reaching.

One other thing, handle length, are the reelseats of both rods the same distance from the butt? Sometimes the seat on the longer rod is a bit further up so the effective length in front of reel can be closer than the 3" difference in length but this isnt always the case.

It's going to be a Caster im going to be fishing from a boat, and ill be fishing bass,trout, and some bluegill, sunfish, ect..... I'm debating between med/hvy 10-17lb or hvy 10-20lb.

IMO this is the right advice. When in doubt I would always suggest the shorter, it will be easier to handle, but 3" isn't much. As far as size goes my first thought would not be the species but the cover that you usually fish, thick go with the heavier of the 2, lighter for less. I use inshore rods even for my freshwater fishing, for me a 8/17 is a med rod, works out very well even in heavy cover.

9 times out of 10 I will pick up a longer rod !

I'd go with the MH.
