BassTrix??

A few years ago I watched Aaron Martens use the BassTrix minnow.  If I recall, he said that he really liked this bait, but I haven't heard anything about it since.

For those who've used it, is it worth buying?  Whats the lowdown on this thing.

Sorry i cant help you on a review but man those things are sweet looking, definitely should work, i personally am not good at rigging those type of lures properly

Sorry...  I haven't used them...  Do you know how Aaron Martens fished this minnow?  Some type of jighead maybe?

SHHHH!!! Those are a California secret!  :)

The basstrix line of baits are top-notch, they fill a spot in the market that no one else can even touch. Those that you linked to are only one of the lines he makes, some are thinner, some have boot-tails like swimbaits, etc...

Do they work? Well, Fish Chris' 18 lber ate one! I've caught a TON of fish on them as well, just no 18's.  ;D You can a handful of things with them, stand-up jighead, ball/arkie head, dropshot, or tube head and swim them. (They're hollow like a tube)

Good luck!

I use them during the spawn alot. The paddle tail fat minnow is a great swimbait for swimming around bedding areas when they will not hit anything else. I usually slide a 1/8 oz jighead inside.

Those are great baits.  They are hollow like a tube and you can rig a jighead in them.  They are also great on drop shots, Crigs, split shot rigs and about any way else you can rig them.

Good bait in clear water.

Haha I love these BassTrix. They are amazing drop shot baits. Also work really well for inshore salwater.
