May Be The Craziest Question Yet

Featured Replies

so I am finally getting off the shore, my family has just bought a pontoon, not the great bass fishing boat in the world, but it gets I disagree off the shore. I was in class when my Aunt picked it up, i came with a trolling motor, SO without me having anyone to show me how.. how do you operate one, i asked my Aunt if he gave the paper work and he didnt, Is it really just dropping it the water and pressing the foot pedal, the all have foot pedals right, I didnt ask her what kind it was..

Pressing the foot pedal depends on if its a foot control or hand control model. Either way, it's pretty straightforward, and you should have no problem getting the hang of it with a little practice. By the way, don't sell a pontoon boat short. They are a nice stable platform and comfortable to fish from with the swivel seat(s), which can be positioned to make the boat ride level.

Maybe this will change your outlook on your pontoon boat.

The boat in the pic is our daughter's. She uses it for training retrievers in the small pond in her back yard. I'd like to have one up here for some of the small ponds, but with two canoes and the Z-8 it would be hard to justify adding a vessel to my fleet of three.

One of her dogs tried to help me land the fish, but I got it into the boat before the dog could retrieve it.

Almost the same boat. Mine is a coleman. They are very good for 1-2 people with minimal equipment and on small waters!
