Rod Covers

Featured Replies

Anyone know any rod covers that will cover the entire rod. I am tired of my rods getting all scuffed up and stuff like that. I was looking at the Rod Glove XL's because they are plenty long but are not sure if they will fit over the trigger on casting rods.

They don't have one long enough to cover my rod. I need 7'11" and I want it to cover the whole rod.

I was disappointed with the Bass Pro covers too. Leaves way too much of the rod exposed like you said.

All my rods are 7' so they work for me with some room still to go. I didnt know you were fishing with a flag pole, lol.

This is one case where, unfortunately, I'm going to have to give the edge to Cabela's. Their rod covers have more fabric material and cover more of the blank, and have a drawstring thay snugs up under your reel.

Just my opinion, and keep in mind, I much prefer BPS to Cabela's for everything else.

I use the nylon mesh ones from BPS, they are pretty tough. I agree about the soft ones.

I agree on the cabelas rod covers. they are made of a tough nylon? type material, but the inside is really slick which makes it very easy to get cover on/off. Also, the drawstring keeps rod cover on. Plus, if you watch, they go on sale for 3.99 or 4.99 pretty often, which is a decent price.

Another Cabela's rod cover fan. I like the way you can adjust the length, but 7'6" is about the max used full length.

try Cole Tackle. They make awesome rod covers. I am pretty sure they can custom make ones for you also depending on length.
