Flip/Pitch/Cast  :)

I use the small ones for Shaky Heads a lot and the larger sizes are great for fishing points and ledges, cast and drag or hop along the bottom.  That head style is designed for rocky bottoms, they aren't going to do well flipping in wood cover or mats.

I like to throw my paca craws on them. Weedless...it makes the legs stand up in the water like a scared crawfish.

Contrary to popular beleif many anglers are learning that Football Jigs work extremely well around any cover. What makes Football Jigs effective around wood, brush, and grass is their abaility to stand the craw trailer on end like a crawfish in fighting mode.

The Football Jig is designed for deep water structure fishing and where you would normally fish a Carolina rig or a plastic worm. The Football Jig can be swam or drug on the bottom, but it's primarily designed to give an angler the ability to fish a jig in very deep water where you usually had to fish other techniques.

The most popular Football Jigs in this region are Stanley's Bugeye Football Jigs, Terry Oldham's Football Jigs and Strike King's Football Jigs.
