1985 Ranger 350V Livewell Question

I have a 1985 ranger 350v and would like to fish some bfl tournaments with it next year but the livewell in the front doesnt work. Would it be better to just get the front one fixed or could i make a divider for the bigger livewell in the back.

    The front is actually a bait well so I would make the divider if it was mine. I would also fix the bait well pump because I'm OCD and I couldn't sleep at night knowing it doesn't work.
