Mattlures Ultimate Male Blue Gill

Featured Replies

Matt, I just bought one of these baits, I've hesitated in the past because I had not seen one in person. Well a tackleshop near my house started carrying them and I decided it was time to check them out. When I took it out of the package to check it out I was really impressed with the bait and the detail of it so I decided to buy one. I am looking forward to trying this bait out this season.

it's amazing!!!

Just checked one out, looks very real.  Wonder how well it swims and if the lure catches a lot of fish.

it has the truest swimming action that I have ever seen.

I feel that the original Bluegill swims better than the newer one.

I also feel that the newer one is better when using the bait as a jig or bed fishing.

Rondef, boil the bait to make it a little softer and the tail will kick noticeably better.

Thanks for the tip SPEEDBEAD, there is a note on the mattlures web page that says to put it in hot water up to the fins so they can be positioned properly. I will do the tail as well to soften it.  I am really looking forward to trying this bait out, I am hoping it helps me catch some hawgs.

my apologizes. I thought he said Hard blue gill. I have no experience with the soft gill.
