Bass Vs Swimbait

I'll take what I can get after hauling water for 26 hours with jigs, worms, big swimbaits, medium swimbaits, and small swimbaits

Fish is kinda small; but hey, it's the first fish I caught over 3 big-bass-chasing trips.

3 lbs 2 oz northern strain caught on the new Mattlures slow-sink hardbass from a small public reservoir in Central Virginia.

(The bait fell out of the fishie's mouth seconds after I lipped it, and I didn't feel quite right about sticking it back in for the photo.)

Also caught two small(er) ones on a slow-sink hardgill; but they were too small to weigh- even by my standards.

rock on man! that's a nice chunk man. knew it wasn't going to be long.

Now that's a Blue Bird Sky... LOL
