Crankbait ID?

Featured Replies

It's a Bandit 600 (discontinued).

They will do 16'+ if I remember right. Been awhile since I've thrown one.

They never seemed to get much attention in the Bandit lineup.

You think so? I didn't think they made any with that little beady eye molded into the plastic and sticking out a little.

You're right....the Bandit doesn't have the beady little eye.....at any rate, that bait definitely appears to be based closely on Bandit's design.

You may still be right. Looking at the lip on your 600, it looks identical to mine. The bevel on the front edge, the shape, and the ball bearing in the underside are all the same. The body shape looks the same too. Maybe at some point they just did the eyes different.

it could just be an old 600 that someone re-painted.

I believe you could be right.  That straight masking pattern on the bill isn't typical of a factory lure.

The eyes are also similar to some custom painters that just "drop" the eye with a drill bit....it leaves a pretty big bead depending on how thick the paint is.
