What's up guys?

Just wondering if there is anybody on these forums that fishes in Western North Carolina. I mostly fish lakes along the Catawba River (Rhodhiss, Hickory, Lookout, and occasionally Norman). I fished a lot with my dad when I was younger, but we were never really dedicated and now that I've bought my own boat, I'm looking to get more serious with my fishing and I'm looking for any advice or pointers I can find during the off season.

I've been out there a few times this fall, but without much luck. New to fishing this area for the first time this off-season. It's a little different than what I'm used to down in Florida.
