Clearwater Jigs And Spinnerbaits

Featured Replies

Just wanna see some opinions on what you guys like for jigs and spinnerbaits in clear water, mainly brands and do you downsize when confronted with a clear water, hvy pressure resservoir?? i am looking for some new jigs to try out but im fairly new to those conditions, i use to mainly fish shallow, stained rivers but not anymore.

Green pumpkins, Browns, are clear water staples.

Having said that I fish fairly clear waters also and my go to colour has always been black!

As for brands, I make my own. But a couple of our forum sponsors both make and sell jigs some great looking jigs that will fit the bill.

Natural colors are usually the way to go, downsizing may not be necessary but it's worth a try, I've had good luck with finesse jigs/spinnerbaits in those conditions.

When I fish some of the reserviors in my area the first thing I will tie on is a bladed jig like a chatterbait by z-man, or the booyah boogee bait.
