Daiwa Cielo Rods Anyone?

Featured Replies

Picked up a Daiwa Lexa reel at a steal price. The guy I bought it from also have 2 more Daiwa Cielo rods for sale. I was wondering if anyone had tried these rods out. The problem is I'm buying things I can't really test out until next spring with living up north. Right now I can find so many sweet deals for locals. So I am going by review and collecting my gears for the spring. So far reviews on the Lexa has been great. Not much reviews on the Cielo's though since they are relatively new. Looks nice but I just wish that cork wasn't there. Seems to look like it's unfinished with just one cork grip.

Don't know what models you are looking at. I have the 6'10" dropshot rod with titanium tip that works great paired with a stradic C14.

I'm looking at a 7'6" HF for flipping and pitching and also maybe a spinning one for wacky/river setup. The only reason why I would want to try these out is I can get this guys last two rods he's got for the price of a veritas online. I'm pretty happy with the verita but if I can get a $159 rod for $70 and it works as good as it's retail price then for sure I'm getting it. I almost bought his Daiwa Ballistic rod but from the reviews everyone said it's heavy and not the best, even him as he recommend the Cielo to me.

I've personally never fished the series but got to hold them and check them out when they came out. There everything you would expect for a rod in this price range. For that deal its a easy answer for me, get it! Hopefully there's a daiwa guy left on here to help you more! Good luck :)
