Norman Deep Little N

Featured Replies

What kind of wobble does the Norman deep little n have? Tight or wide?

Is this a good winter time crank? If not what are your favorite winter te cranks?

Just noticed I misspelled Norman.

Fixed it. :)

It's a tighter wobble, but this is my absolute favorite crank year around.

The DLN has a fairly tight wobble, good for this time of year. My favorites for cold/cool water are flat sided baits with tight wobbles; in fact, they catch fish year round.

One of the most under rated crankbaits on the market. Like Vinny, my favorite hands down for 7 to 12 feet. I've caught smallies in 48 degree water on them.

X3 ^ DLNs are a "must have" crankbait, IMHO. They're easily my most productive mid to deep crank.

My favorite patterns:

Give 'em a try!

I feel the same as others. This is by far my favorite med crank. Plus they don't cost a small fortune. I am also a big fan of the DD22.

Made in USA, affordable, catches fish and probably the best selection of colors out there. Anything that can be said about the deep little N goes for the DD22 as well. Also a great walleye crank.

^^^^ This.

Short money for a crankbait Stalwart!

Awesome. I have caught tons of fish on them in spring just never really tried much cranking when water got cold. I will give it a shot this week.

Same here! Great bait!

We need to contact Norman Lures to insist that they come out with a Silent version. Do you know how many bassers would line up to order those, in their favorite colors!

Pick up a few Bomber flat a crank baits. They're awesome for cold water cranking!

Norman Thin N.

Enough said!

The Norman lures have amazing paint jobs. Strike King could learn a thing or two from them. I have quite a few of the Little Ns, and just picked up a DD22. Wonder how it stacks up to the 6XD?

You have to be PSYCHO not to use Norman baits ??????   (wouldn't hurt a fly)

I've never purchased a Norman lure, but have fished Bandit cranks... why choose a Norman over a Bandit?

Great bait year round when conditions call for cranking. Until I started using Bandit cranks, I even used them in wood cover. Those I couldn't unsnag didn't cost a bunch to replace. Early spring I normally opt for blade baits or lipless cranks for their tighter wiggle and the blade baits don't have rattles, but from the spawn until ice-up, those two brands get the nod from me.

Why choose a Bandit over a Norman? I think it boils down to local availability, personal preference, and what colors you have confidence in.

Been fishing Bill Normans stuff for almost 25years,price hasnt gone up much over that time. You get value for your dollar and one of the best color selections out there.Ive had the DLN save a tournament for me in early March when I couldnt buy a bite on a jig.Water was in the mid 40's and they wanted it slow retrieved aroung rip rap and chunk rock.

I Agree with everyone in this post.

Tight wobble, catches 'em cold and warm.

I would also suggest the Tiny.  Made for Crappie but man!  I has bailed me out of many an event.....and not little fish either!

I typically stick to Sexy Shad but will have to give Khaki/green/orange and Tenn Shad a try.  Those colors look sweet!

I like the Deep Little N, Deep Middle N, DD22 and I don't remember the model but it is a square bill shallow diver. They all work.
