Lost And Found

I always pick up tackle, line, lures, and bobbers that I find when I walk the bank.  The reason I do this is because a few years back I saw a great blue heron hanging upside down in a tangle of fishing line about 30 feet up in a tree.  I don't even want to guess how the bird got into that position or how long it lasted like that.

At the start of 2012 I began to put all of the stuff I found off to the side just to see how much I actually did pick up.  Most of the stuff like line, plastics, and hooks were ruined so they went into the trash.  I attached a pic of some of the items that were still in pretty good shape.

Hey i think that one is mine!! haha

Small fortune there. That's what I like about my yak, I can pick stuff outta trees and bushes and stuff like that. I try to pick up any trash and stuff when I'm out.

Make your way up to illinois and I can point you in the direction of my zara super spook.

Good finds! Whenever I'm out, I never hesitate to pick up lures and other baits I find on the ground. Most of the stuff is trash, but sometimes I'l find some really nice lures! Sometimes even a full bag of soft plastics! Last year I probably made a total of about 30 bucks in finds.

Thats awesome.  I found a couple of Rapalas and a Rat-L-Trap after Sandy flooded the creek below my lake.  Theres also a tree there hanging out over the water that has all kinds of lures hanging from it.  Im tempted to try and climp up and get them but the tree looks pretty rickety.  With my luck I'd end up in the water.
