No Black Eyed Peas. Just Deer Chili!

Featured Replies

Nothing says Happy New Year unless there's a big ol' pot of deer chili on my stove simmering! CHEERS!

I'd take a bowl please!! I have some Deer meat in my freezer not sure what to do with yet. My uncle made some good vegetable soup with some of the deer couple of weeks ago.

We had deer tacos yesterday. None of my kids suspect any different than regular beef tacos. We bought a quarter cow from a friend and it is delicious. My wife wished we had more ground into burger, got two deer and now we have plenty of burger. Also ground some venison into breakfast sausage by mixing it with salt pork and breakfast sausage seasoning package. It is delicious.

I was hoping to get some of my deer grounded up and try it in spaghetti.

A few years back my dad and I purchased a grinder from BPS. What a great investment! We grind up everything except the loins and back strap. We make short work of a quartered deer in about 30 minutes. One de-bones and the other grinds.

That chili was scrumptious by the way!

I wouldn't know I didn't get any lol. My uncle did grind some of the deer up but we used it for jerky and few other things. I'm to have to get me a grinder and a dehydrator for next season.
