I was doing some cleaning and I came across an old cd wallet. It was on its way to the trash when it stopped me and suggested that it may be used for something else. So I thought maybe I could keep my spinnerbaits in it.

So far it seems to work well. I guess I'll wait til spring to see how well it actually works.

Great job - this is actually a technique I share with new kayakers in trying to help them limit what they take out on the water. One suggestion though, try to avoid the CD Wallet style that uses the thick plastic sleeves. That type "sticks" to the skirts and can tear off the material if you are not careful. A 10-24 count wallet usually is sufficient for a trip out on the water. I use a small 10-count one myself.

Caution don't let it get too hot. The strands will stick to the plastic and ruin them. I don't know what you call the material but I use one that has the black non sticky type plastic..feels like it it coated with Teflon. My buddy uses one with the clear plastic he is just really careful not to leave it in the boat afterwards. Should fine if u tale it inside or in your shop/garage as long as it doesn't get to hot.

I say this because I ruined 2 dozen spinner baits a couple years ago when I left it in my boat for a couple weeks (was unable to fish for a few weeks wen my son was born in June of 2010)

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Unfortunately, I don't have the opportunity to leave things in a boat, but I do generally keep my stuff in my car during the summer.
