I want to simplify what I carry. Can some of y'all help with what technique each rod I have will work best for? I do not want to buy anything else so I want to simplify what I already have. I am gonna list my favorite 4 rods. I already have a cranking setup I like and 1 spinning outfit.

The rest of these are baitcasting setups:

1 veritas 7'0" medium heavy

1 falcon bcc-7-17 heavy 7'0"

1 falcon bcc-5-17 med heavy 7'0"

1 st.croix mojo mbc70mf medium power fast 7'0"

Any suggestions without buying new stuff?

All of the medium heavys are what i call all purspose rods: jigs, t rigs, spinner bait, buzz, bigger topwaters, c rigs, vibrating jigs, light swim baits

The 7'0 heavy can pretty much do the same stuff. Heavier, jigs, t rigs, heavy spinner baits, c rigs, heavier vibrating jigs, weighted swim baits,

You can also frog, Carolina rig, flip n pitch, fish traps with those rods 

 

That falcon heavy might be lighter action than the mh veritas but have the same lure rating?

The medium, finesse worms, senkos, light spinner baits, top water, traps, fiinesse jigs,

And possibly jerk baits.

Good for same stuff as mediums but just lighter..the lightbaits that are a little difficult to cast far with a MH.

7' MH veritas -- spinnerbaits and buzzbaits

7' MH bucoo -- worm rod

7' H bucoo -- jigs and frogs

7' M mojo -- topwater and jerkbaits

That really kinda depends on you. Are you good with different knots or willing to learn and do you mind fishing with leaders? 

 

Simple answer. This is my outlook.

spinnerbaits = mono it floats and is cheap but some prefer fluoro.

soft platics = fluoro it sinks and has more sensitivity

jig and frog = braid it floats,it's strong and doesn't stretch. Fishing heavy cover you need to get them out fast.

topwater = mono it floats and is cheap but some use braid too.

If it was me I'd have braid on one of the MH rods and use a mono or fluoro leader depending on the situation. That heavy rod may be too much in some cases. I have the bucoo micro in their pitchin' stick 6'10 heavy and it's mainly my jig rod but if the cover isn't really thick it's overkill. For instance when I throw swim jigs. The water is more open and I don't need that strong of a rod so I use one of my other MH rods. 

I actually like braid and a leader for some applications. I like throwing crankbaits with braid and a leader. A little unconventional for most people but I love the feel.

As far as the rest goes I know I will fish floro for bottom baits just wasn't sure on the rest of my setups.
