Bill Dance's Hook Remover ???

Featured Replies

Bill Dance always has a hook remover by his side. I think it is redish colored, slender, and apprears to be about six inches long. He uses it a lot but I have never heard him mention what it is called or what brand name. Has anyone ever heard him mention what it is ??

Ya bass pro sells them. I had one and it worked great until I lost it.  >:)

but it worked great for me.

Buddy of mine has one.  I borrowed it one weekend and it worked fine.  It really worked well on deep hooked fish but I'm stubborn, sticking with my needle nose.

"Handier than a sleeve on a shirt." as Bill would say. I do not go fishing without it. It's perfect for treble hooks and works better than needle nose for single hooks taken deep. You won't regret this purchase.

Rapala also has one of these hook remover tools. Works great, seems to be an all stainless construction with rubber coated handles. I have mine on a "wrist" band that I actually hang from a belt loop, so its always right there if I need it.

Thank you all for your replies. I found it on Bass Pro on-line and put an order in. I should have purchased two of them.....I'm always dropping things over board.

Best thing I have found for removing hooks from deeply hooked fish.

looks like they don't carry it anymore , probably cause they have their own which is very similar http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10213376_100011005_100000000_100011000_100-11-5

You are correct, I thought it was redish but orange is correct and the one I ordered at Bass Pro is not the one Bill uses....other wise they look very similar don't they.

Thanks pgersumky for the link to that site. I Think I will order that one also, as I said I seem to have a habit of dropping my favorite tools "over-broad". I think ChrisAW idea of attaching it to a belt loop may be a very good idea.
