St. Croix Rage Rod Giveaway

Just wanted to put it out there that St. Croix did an outstanding job on their rebate program.  I dropped my receipt, form and rod tags in the mail on th 19th here in VA.  And lo and behold while cooking dinner i hear my doorbell.  I go to the door and see some tail lights going down the street and a rod tube on my porch.  10 days to receive, process and ship a free item is pretty outstanding.  Much better than the shimano rebate last year that took about 14 weeks....

Same here, I dropped mine in the mail on Dec 30th, had my rod 10 days or so later. What rod did you get?

So I bought 2 originally, 6'8" MHF Casting and. 6'8"MXF spinning and my freebie was a 7'1"MF spinning. Looking forward to trying them out this weekend if it doesn't get ridiculously cold

BIG props to the guys at St. Croix. I had sent in my paperwork for the 7'1" M/F Rage ($150 retail) but before my rod came I figured I'd give them a buzz and see if I could do the trade-up from the Rage to the Avid and just receive the Avid instead. They said no problem as long as the rod hadn't shipped yet, which it hadn't. I thought that was pretty awesome of them as they were probably swamped with Rage offers, but it gets better.  I wanted the 7' M/F Avid ($190) and figured I'd just pay the $40 difference and get the Avid. Well they actually bumped up me up to the highest value Rage ($170) which reduced the difference so I just paid $20 and got the Avid! Awesome guys and fantastic customer service!

Wow I thought about doing that but figured I shouldn't be greedy but I guess I should have!! Nice score there.

Yea I didn't expect them to say yes, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. If the answer was no, I would have completely understood.
