First Time Coming To Guntersville

Featured Replies

We will be coming 3/30/13 thru 4/6/13 to make the most ou tof our trip what area of the lake to stay at and fish. we will have my son and some others from the high school fishing team just want to make the most out of our time. Thanks for any suggestions

Best place I have stayed is Fisherman's Landing at South Sauty, another place is Little Mountain Resort. However LMR has no cable or satellite and you have to bring your own linens, but has a boat ramp on the property and is half the price. The week that you are going to be there should be perfect for fishing, I would fish Goose Pond, South Sauty and down towards the state park. My son and I will be there a couple of weeks before you all but would rather fish 2 to 3 weeks later, unfortunately his spring break is what it is. Good Luck!  p.s.( bring plastic lizards.)

Goose pond is a nice place to stay or you could stay in Scottsboro at one of the hotels there.  They are all fisherman friendly.

I will be there 3/23 - 3/27... can't wait!!

There are several guides that will mark a map for you for 50 - 75$ and guarantee you to be on fish if your interested in that. Its cheaper than a guided trip and it'll get you headed in the right direction.
