Bluegill, black silver for cranks.  Hot Steel for jerks.

Bandit: pearl splatterback black, khaki, parrot, baby bass

Rapala DT:shad, blue shad

In heavy stained to muddy water I choose other crankbaits.

good question...

Bandit:    muddy water --> firetiger, blue splatter back

clear water --> shad, tennesse shad

Rapala:   muddy water --> firetiger

    clear: grey shiner

* there used to be a Rapala lure called the risto rap... had the best colour.. "hot mustard".. anyone remember it?

I agree, these baits are great looking. I also like their baby bass or black and silver to mimic a Threadfin Shad

In the spring, if you like Bandits and the water is heavily stained but short of creamy coffee muddy try "Madcow".  I'm not joking.......Al

baby bass and bluegill!  I love the shallow crankbaits from Bandit.... the only better ones are the Storm Subwarts but they are so hard to find

I don't like rapalas, as much as the bandits, but when I buy a rapala I get baby bass

Bandits:

-clear water- Rootbeer

-stained water- Rootbeer chartruce

and if those aren't working, red craw.

Bandit- Black back herring

DTs- Black/ silver

Bandit model 200 spring craw, but I think the bass started to " wise-up" and spreaded the word. Or, maybe they taught the other bass not to hit it while they were in " school"  ;D
