Daiwa Light And Tough 7"4 Telescopic Casting Rod (Help)

Featured Replies

I bought this rod and I can't get this rod to fully extend all the way out to its full length. I've tried pulling on this rod with brute force, and I've had my brother pull on the opposite side and we still couldn't get this rod to extend. Its a baitcasting rod but the guides are pointed downward like a spinning rod, does anybody have any tips for getting this rod unjammed? Lastly, when I took the rod out of the tube I noticed the real seat ( I think its called that) the part where you keep twisting is broke into two pieces. Can this be fixed by a person who does rod repair?? Please somebody..anybody...please help me.

I'll try to upload a picture from my cell phone kicker.

Did you try twisting the rod instead of pulling on it? I would return it to daiwa and get a non telescopic rod.

Short fish I bought the rod off of eBay and at $85.00 with free shipping I thought it was a good deal. I'll try twisting it again but is this normal with a telescopic rod? When I get home I'll post a picture. My cell phone wouldn't do it.

Names are listed above where it says short fish. It seems like a deal but if it came broken you might have a problem.
